1. Backdrop is Everything

Research points of interest prior to your trip, and make it a point to visit each one. You can make a backdrop check list to ensure you don’t miss any pretty points, and you can also ensure you experience your vacation destination to the fullest.

 

2. Time of Day Counts

 

Always try to have the sun behind you, and never look into it. You’ll end up with a bunch of unsightly squints. Evening pictures are always best, right before the sun sets because the lighting is optimal and complimentary. If you can time out a sunset or sunrise with the kids by the ocean or lake, that also makes for an unforgettable backdrop.  

 

3. Be Unique

The best pictures are the most unique pictures. How cool would it be to purchase costume swimwear for the kids to wear and capture an image of it? 5. Dress Brightly

Bright colors look flattering on all skin tones and they photograph well. So, whether you’re posing or not, you can ensure that your photo subjects will stand out amongst a bold background, and not just blend in.
